Good Care Month - Meet Stacey

July is Good Care Month and to celebrate the hard and important work carried out by those who work in the care industry, we’d like to shine the spotlight on members of the CISWO team and the work that they do to support our clients. 

We’d like to introduce Stacey. Stacey has worked in the social care industry for 24 years. 

On her role as a social worker, Stacey says: 

“I enjoy working at CISWO, as it allows me to go out and support people, which is what I enjoy most about working in the social care sector. I have always liked working with people and wanted to do a job where I felt I was able to make a positive difference.

What makes CISWO different to me is that you can really spend time getting to know your clients and ensure that the support they are given meets their needs.

The work I have done to support those who have been recently widowed – has been an area that has made me extremely proud. 

I have been able to help secure grants for those on low income to help pay towards funeral costs. I have also helped people complete benefits applications and access their widow’s pension. I have also been able to give people time to talk about the whatever they need to in order help them grieve their loss.

I have been able to meet some truly amazing people during my time at CISWO and it has been an honor to support them as individuals.”
